Send emails from your own domain

On the Studio plan, the sign-in and invitation emails your clients receive can leave from your own domain instead of the Menestrel address, authenticated with DKIM. The emails still go out through our infrastructure: you publish a few DNS records, we handle the rest.

  1. Choose a sending domain

In your organization menu, open White-label and find “Email sending address”. Enter the domain you want to send from. A dedicated subdomain such as mail.your-agency.com is strongly recommended: it avoids any conflict with your existing mailboxes and their SPF record. Pick the address part (default compte), then click “Get DNS records”.

  2. Publish the DNS records

We show you the records to create at your registrar: a DKIM TXT record, an SPF TXT record, an MX record, and a recommended DMARC record. Copy each one into your DNS zone. If your domain already has an SPF record, merge include:_spf.tem.scaleway.com into the existing one rather than adding a second SPF record, because a domain can only have one.

  3. Verify

Back in the admin, click “Verify now”. DNS propagation can take up to an hour, and verification is automatic, so you can also just publish the records and come back later. Once verified, a green badge shows the address your emails now leave from.

  4. That’s it

Your clients’ sign-in and invitation emails now arrive from "Your Agency" <compte@your-domain>, DKIM-aligned.

  • Studio plan only. The sending address is part of white-label; on other plans the section is locked.
  • We watch it for you. A background check runs every few hours. If your domain stops verifying (a record removed or changed), we email you and fall back to the Menestrel address until it is fixed, so no email is ever lost.
  • Billing emails stay ours. Emails about your own subscription (payment, plan changes) keep the Menestrel address: that is our relationship with you, not your clients’ relationship with you.
